Openning Ceremony with piping in led by shelter dogs. Event 11am to 2pm. Registration at 10:30 am. Pledge sheets at www.metro.spcans.ca. All proceeds go to Nova Scotia SPCA Provincal Shelter.

Clean up Saturday July 23
Good Day All
I want to thank Donna (Charlottes mom) for organizing the clean up yesterday. I also want to thank Bob (rorys dad), Roxanne (wileys mom), Angela (bellas mom) and isabelles mom as well as Sandy (Keru's mom) for helping out.
We picked up about a half a bag of garbage. Good job was done by all.

Africville reunion Weekend 2011
Attention All:
The 2011 Africville reunion weekend will be held on the following weekend.
Thursday July 28 to Tuesday August 2. 2011 at noon time.

Clean up day at Seaview is being held on Saturday July 23, 2011 at 10 am

With Great Sadness I would like to announce Our King of the Hill has passed away. Chandler will be missed by his Mom Sandra and his family. He will be missed by everyone who new Him.

Africville Contruction Update
Attention Everyone
As of Friday June 17, 2011 the gate accessing the park into the off leash area will be temporally locked during construction of the Africville church.
All of us who use this entrance will have to get used to putting our dogs on a leash until we reach the off leash area. We have to keep in mind its a 340.00 fine for our dogs not on a leash..

News and Current Events at Seaview
Hey All
Just thought I'd id bring everyone up to date on the park news. Construction of the church will begin sometime in the next month in the parking area at the end of the OFF leash area. At such time we may not be able to park there and have to resort to parking in the Main Parking lot. I will keep you all posted..
City Provided poop bags are going to be Limited this summer. Please bring your own or ask anyone of the regulars for a bag or bags should you not have one . Remember it is OUR job to pick up our dogs Poop..
Anyone looking for tennis balls please see Maddys Mom as Maddy has collected quite a few balls over the last couple of months and She is looking to give them to her friends..
Anyone having news to post on the web site please also see maddys mom as she will post the items.

Rehab for Fido & Fluffy
On Saturday May 14th, at 2:00 pm Full Circle Vet Alternatives will be hosting a session of learning as well as demonstrations to showcase various rehab as well as physiotherapy options for dogs and cats.

Park Clean-Up Today
Many thanks to Charlotte's Mom, Hank's Mom, Rory"s Dad, and Bear's Dad ( also Reese's) for coming out this morning and braving the cold wind and helping keep OUR park clean. The clean-up committee will be scheduling another park clean up in the next month or so. We all hope to see LOTS of you there. We all use the park,. therefore we all have a responsibility to keep the park clean. Which brings me to my favorite RANT..People who do not pick up ! If you see someone not picking up after their dog..Please walk up to them nicely, hand them a bag, and point ! Its not the regular users of the park ( at least I hope not) that leave the messes, rather its the casual one time users or the twice a year, here I am user. In most cases its an oversight. Soon the bags will be back at the gates, and there will be more garbage cans. Sorry, I am digressing again, Many thanks and a big WOOF to the clean-up committee! Well done!
